CD Higicontrol Melilla, the beach football team from the autonomous city of Melilla, won the Women's Euro Winners Cup for the second consecutive year.

The Melilla team beat the Polish team Red Devils Ladies Chojnice by four goals to three, reaffirming the title after winning it the previous season.

Another great achievement was also present in the Higicontrol Melilla expedition, as one of its members, Andrea Mirón, was named the best player of the competition. In addition, some players from the Melilla team came close to topping the list of top scorers in this European club tournament.
