Kelme Football Boots: Dominate Any Surface
Football is played with the feet, but won with the head. Choosing the right boot is the first tactical decision of the match. At Kelme, we have been equipping elite footballers since 1960, blending the tradition of high-quality natural leather with the latest innovations in reactive outsoles and lightweight synthetic materials.
In this category, you will find our complete collection divided by terrain type. Because playing in northern mud is not the same as playing on a state-of-the-art artificial turf. We equip you with the exact sole that your game and your knees need.
Sole Guide: Choose your ideal traction
1. AG Soles (Artificial Grass): The queens of synthetic turf
Modern football is mostly played on artificial pitches. Our AG boots are specifically designed for this abrasive surface.
-
Features: More numerous, shorter, and hollow studs.
-
Benefit: Facilitate turns and reduce the risk of the boot getting "stuck" in the rubber, protecting your knees and ankles from serious injuries. Additionally, they are much more resistant to abrasion.
2. Turf Soles (TF): Multi-stud for carpet pitches
For 7-a-side football, training on hard surfaces or old carpet pitches.
-
Features: Multiple small rubber studs distributed across the entire sole.
-
Benefit: Maximum support surface to reduce pressure on the sole of the foot and prevent heel pain. The most comfortable and stable option.
3. FG Soles (Firm Ground): The classic for natural grass
The traditional sole for dry natural grass or very compact earth (although they are increasingly less used on earth).
-
Features: Hard rubber or TPU studs (usually 11 to 13 studs) with conical or bladed shapes.
-
Benefit: Explosive traction and quick acceleration on natural pitches. Note: We do not recommend using FG on artificial turf, as it increases the risk of stud breakage and injury.
4. SG Soles (Soft Ground): Traction in wet conditions
For football purists playing in the rain or on soft, muddy natural grass pitches.
Leather vs. Synthetic: What's your style?
-
Natural Leather: Kelme's DNA. Models like the K-Fighting in high-quality leather offer unparalleled ball feel and adapt to the shape of your foot like a glove after a couple of uses. Ideal for touch and control players.
-
Microfiber / Synthetic: For those seeking lightness and speed. They do not absorb water, maintain their original shape, and require less maintenance.
FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions about Football Boots
Are Kelme boots suitable for wide feet? Yes, historically Kelme has been a favorite brand for players with wide feet. Our lasts, especially in leather models, are generous and allow for a comfortable fit without compressing the instep or toes.
Can I use AG studded boots on natural grass? Yes, it's possible. Although you lose some traction compared to an FG sole, an AG boot performs acceptably well on dry natural grass. However, the reverse (FG on Artificial) is dangerous. If you play on both surfaces and can only buy one pair, the AG sole is the most versatile and safest option.
