The Nepal national football team, under the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) since 1951, is an emerging team from South Asia (FIFA member 1970, AFC 1972). Nicknamed "Gurkhas" or "Rhinos", they have achieved runner-up finishes in the SAFF Championship in 1993 and 1997, along with participations in Asian qualifiers.

The Dasharath Rangasala Stadium (built 1956, renovated 2019) is the main venue, with a capacity for 15,000 spectators, hosting SAFF and international events.

Kelme has been the official sponsor since 2018, supplying kits inspired by the Himalayas for the national team.
