Kids' Football Boots: Grip and Safety in Every Play
Youth football has evolved, and so have the pitches. "A pair of studded boots" is no longer enough; choosing the correct sole is vital to prevent injuries and improve a child's technical learning.
At Kelme, we adapt our professional soles to the needs of youth football. Whether playing on state-of-the-art artificial turf or abrasive carpet, we have the boot that protects their knees and enhances their game.
What sole does your child need? (Quick Guide)
1. Turf Sole (TF): The All-Terrain for Carpet
This is the classic "multi-studded" sole, composed of dozens of small, short rubber studs.
-
Ideal surface: Carpet pitches, first-generation artificial turf (short, hard pile), or even concrete/dirt.
-
Kelme Advantage: Models like the Goleiro Turf or Precision Turf offer total stability. By having so much contact surface, they reduce pressure on the sole of the foot, preventing typical heel pain in growing children (Sever's disease).
2. AG Sole (Artificial Grass): For Tall Grass
If your child plays on artificial turf pitches "that look like natural grass" (with black rubber infill), they need this sole.
-
Ideal surface: 2nd and 3rd generation artificial turf (long pile).
-
Kelme Advantage: Our AG studs are round and hollow to facilitate quick turns without the boot "digging in" excessively, thus protecting the knee ligaments (ACL).

FAQ: Parents' Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use studded boots (AG) on carpet? We do not recommend it. The AG stud is too high for carpet. This raises the child's center of gravity, increasing the risk of ankle sprains, and the studs will wear out very quickly. For carpet, always choose Turf (TF).
Which model is best for wide feet? Our models made of soft synthetic leather (Soft Synthetic), such as the Copa or Goleiro line, tend to stretch and adapt better to wide feet than rigid microfiber models.
