SHINE IN THE STANDS: ELTON JOHN SPECIAL KIT

We're proud to present a very special kit for a very special fan. The Watford FC third kit celebrates the 50th anniversary of Elton John becoming chairman of his boyhood club in 1976.

Elton John , Honorary Life President, has been heavily involved in the design of this unique collector's item, inspired by the aesthetics of his ' Diamonds ' album. Elton has been cheering on Watford from the stands since he was six, when the team still wore blue.

Under him, Watford rose from the Fourth Division to runners-up in the top flight in the late 1970s and early 1980s. European competition and an FA Cup final followed, and Elton left his mark that changed the course of the club.

The shirt is made from an exclusive polyester knit with a sublimated star design. The Watford crest and Kelme logos appear in contrasting silver , and the hem features the 'Happy Hornet' emblem, which was the club's logo when Elton took over as chairman.

The collar and cuffs feature more stars , synonymous with Elton's style, and on the back is an embossed print of one of his most famous lyrics, ' Your Song '.

The set is completed by silver shorts , also made of exclusive polyester, with E* taping down both sides. The shorts feature the silver WFC crest, along with a contrasting Kelme logo .

The special edition kit will only be worn when Watford host Blackburn Rovers in the Sky Bet Championship this weekend.
