Liga Deportiva Alajuelense is a Costa Rican football club , originally from the city of Alajuela . It was founded in 1919, its colors are red and black and since its founding, it plays in the First Division of Costa Rica . It has played in various national and international tournaments, such as the Concacaf Champions League , Concacaf League , Uncaf Interclub Cup , Inter-American Cup , Copa Sudamericana , Merconorte Cup , Central American Championship , among others.
