Their greatest success was a 5th place finish in the 1st Division in the 1974/75 season, after tying on points with the 4th-placed team, and not competing in the UEFA Cup due to goal difference.

In 2017 and until 2022, KELME joined the Alicante club with a very exciting project and a constant focus on promotion.
