RCD ESPANYOL AND KELME PRESENT KITS FOR THE 24/25 SEASON
This morning the three kits for the 2024-2025 season were presented. This is the seventh season in which Espanyol and Kelme have collaborated together. For this deserved stage in LaLiga EA Sports has opted for three different kits with historical references to the RCDE Stadium and the club's city: Barcelona.
Faithful to the combination of white and blue, the first-team shirt features narrower stripes. The new kit is inspired by the one worn between 1959 and 1966. World legends such as Ladislao Kubala and Alfredo Di Stefano wore that shirt, as did great figures of 'espanyolismo' such as Argilés, Rodilla and José María.
In addition, this season, coinciding with the fifteenth anniversary of RCDE Stadium, and in homage to this anniversary, a special detail has been added: triangular designs on the bottom of the shirt that evoke the architectural structure of the Blue and Whites' stadium.
Both the second and third shirts for the 24/25 season are deeply influenced by the club's home city, Barcelona, and incorporate, on the sleeves, the emblematic 'panot' design (the concrete tile with the 'Flor de Barcelona' design used on numerous pavements throughout the city).
The second shirt comes in an elegant purple colour, which is predominant throughout the garment. The third shirt, on the other hand, adopts grey as the predominant colour.
GOALKEEPER'S EQUIPMENT: Tribute to a Legend.
The goalkeeper jersey for this season continues to pay homage to Ricardo Zamora's iconic scapular design. Bringing back the original more than ever, this shirt not only honours the history of the club, but also that of the legendary goalkeeper, a living history of Spanish football. The scapular design, which was reissued in the 1950s, extends to the back and incorporates stripes on the lower area of the shirt.
In addition, the goalkeeper's shirt, for the first time in history, will be short-sleeved in each and every one of the colour variants used throughout the season.
